Lurie Gallery
Santa Monica, CA
Booth 312
Bruce Lurie, a seasoned gallerist from Brooklyn, began his art career on the East Coast, later spending time in Europe before joining Manhattan’s 1980s art scene. He opened his first gallery in the East Village and helped pioneer Chelsea’s art district in 1987. After 9/11, Bruce moved to Los Angeles, continuing to shape the contemporary art scene. Despite losing his Pacific Palisades gallery in the fire, he opened a new space in downtown Santa Monica. Bruce helped introduce Jean-Michel Basquiat’s early work. His gallery features emerging to mid-career artists, specializing in pop, street, abstract minimalism, photography, and sculpture, along with secondary market expertise.
