In 2017, a year after NY artist Francis Hines died at 96, his entire life’s work of paintings and sculpture was just carelessly discarded in three huge dumpsters. Fortunately, all the paintings were rescued at the eleventh hour by a car mechanic without knowledge of art (the sculptures became landfill). He then reached out to art historian Peter Hastings Falk about the artist and this discovery… and the story begins. This remarkable recent discovery was reported in newspapers worldwide, including a segment of the CBS Sunday Morning Show on April 17, 2022.  Join show catalogue author Peter Falk, and esteemed gallerist Hollis Taggart, with HFAF show director Rick Friedman in front of the dramatic Francis Hines display, as they disclose the amazing facts and story surrounding this extraordinary, one-in-a-million, valuable discovery.
