Enrique Cabrera’s third New York public art sculpture, The Big Apple, shines in the heart of Manhattan, across from Radio City Music Hall. The twelve-foot structure is the largest public block monument ever displayed in New York City.
Enrique Cabrera is an international multidisciplinary contemporary artist. Museums and exhibitions around the world bear witness to the influence of his creations, among which his iconic bronze skull that toured twenty-eight countries, Palmarius, stands out. It concluded its tour in the fall of 2022, landing inside the main vehicle of 30 Rockefeller Center, becoming the first sculpture from the building to be displayed inside, making Cabrera the first sculptor to feature on the ground floor of Rockefeller Center, a century later. Painter Diego Rivera inaugurated a mural there, a profound achievement for the intercontinental visual artisan highly recognized for positioning Mexico as a cultural powerhouse.
His latest Empire State item came to wow just months after his acclaimed million-dollar cubism-inspired chunky bronze bull, El Toro Oro, unveiled in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District last spring and its gleaming summer exhibit. in East Hampton of The Platinum Bull, arriving on the lawn of Herrick Park, inaugurating Art in the Park, the first public art installation program since the town’s founding four centuries ago. This summer officially introduces the Titanium Bull and Titanium Horse.
